How It Works:

Our formula’s active ingredient, Alkyl Benzyl Quaternary Ammonium Chloride, (Benzalkonium Chloride) is a potent biocide that acts as a powerful cell disruptor. When applied as a mould remover spray, it penetrates the cellular structure of moss, mould, algae, and lichen, effectively killing the organism from the inside out. Over the following weeks and months, the dead growth will naturally decompose and wash away with rain, revealing a clean, pristine surface.

Directions for Use:

This is a Moss and Mould Killer concentrate and must be diluted before use. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and eye protection.

• Heavy Duty Removal & Control: Dilute 1 part Moss and Mould Killer to 25 parts of water.
• General Purpose Removal & Control: Dilute 1 Moss and Mould Killer to 50 parts of water.
• Application: Use a sprayer or brush to apply the diluted solution onto the dry surface. Ensure porous surfaces are saturated. Avoid applying just before rain.
  • Interior Surfaces: Apply and allow to dwell on the surface as long as possible without drying out. Sponge off excess residue.
  • Exterior Surfaces: Apply and leave for a few days, remove lichen or moss with a stiff brush or high-pressure water spray.
• Safe Mould Remover: While it is a very effective and powerful mould products solution, it’s also a safe mould remover when used as directed. Keep away from children and pets.
• Don’t apply before rains.

Typical Application Rate

The typical coverage area for 1 litre of Moss and Mould Killer depends on the dilution ratio and the type of surface being treated. The numbers below are estimates based on standard application rates, which can vary depending on the porosity of the surface and the density of the growth.

The standard rule of thumb for our diluted moss and mould killer is that 1 litre of ready-to-use solution covers approximately 5 to 10 square metres.

• 5 m² per litre for very porous surfaces like unsealed concrete, old timber, or heavy moss growth.
• 10 m² per litre for less porous surfaces like painted walls, sealed decks, or light algae growth.

Coverage for 1L of Concentrate

Based on these application rates, here are the estimated coverage areas for 1 litre of concentrate:

1. At the 1:25 Dilution Ratio

This ratio is recommended for heavy-duty removal and control on more stubborn growth.

• Total Ready-to-Use Solution: 1L concentrate + 25L water = 26 litres of solution.
  • Typical Coverage Area: Using the 5m² per litre rate for heavy growth, the total coverage would be:
    26L × 5m2/L = 130m2
    This is enough to cover a typical medium-sized driveway or a large deck.

2. At the 1:50 Dilution Ratio

This ratio is for general purpose removal and control, suitable for light growth and maintenance.

• Total Ready-to-Use Solution: 1L concentrate + 50L water = 51 litres of solution.
  • Typical Coverage Area: Using the 10m² per litre rate for light growth on non-porous surfaces, the total coverage would be:
    51L × 10m2/L = 510m2
    This is enough to cover a large roof, multiple driveways, or extensive paved areas.

In summary, 1L of concentrate can cover a range from approximately 130 m² to over 500 m², depending on how it’s diluted and the condition of the surface.
